The UK government has done more than any other Western country to create a “level playing field” for the Islamic finance sector. Members of our Board and senior management team are members of various Government inspired groups, including the HM Treasury Islamic Finance Experts Group, the UK Trade & Investment, Islamic Finance Working Group and HM Revenue & Customs tax advisory group.

The commitment from these institutions has contributed to an increase in interest and understanding of Islamic finance in all areas of professional services in the UK. The availability of expertise in Shariah compliance has also increased considerably in the UK at a time of shortage due to high demand internationally.

These developments are vital to ensure that London continues to develop as a global centre for Islamic finance, and Gatehouse intends to be a leading organisation in enabling that development to take place.
